About the Cincinnati Bengals palette

The Cincinnati Bengals were founded in 1968 and compete in the American Football Conference of the National Football League. Their primary colour, Orange #FB4F14, is a mid-tone, strongly saturated orange.

The National Football League divides its thirty-two teams between two conferences, and uniform colour is regulated more tightly here than in any other major league: a team must register its colours with the league, and opposing teams are required to wear contrasting jerseys so that broadcast audiences can tell them apart.

Within the Northern Division the Bengals face Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. Those are the matchups where two palettes appear in one frame, so they are the pairings most worth checking for a clash.
