About the Washington Commanders palette
The Washington Commanders were founded in 1932 and compete in the National Football Conference of the National Football League. Their primary colour, Burgundy #5A1414, is a very dark, muted orange-red.
The National Football League divides its thirty-two teams between two conferences, and uniform colour is regulated more tightly here than in any other major league: a team must register its colours with the league, and opposing teams are required to wear contrasting jerseys so that broadcast audiences can tell them apart.
Within the Eastern Division the Commanders face Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. Those are the matchups where two palettes appear in one frame, so they are the pairings most worth checking for a clash.
